Haiti Relief - 24h Poker Session

Postby turn and fall » Thu Feb 04, 2010 12:47 pm

I am going to play a 24h poker session (I will have a toilet break ect) on Saturaday 6th Feb 09:00 GMT . 75% of any profit I make will go to SaveTheChildren (including rakeback).

Haiti is now the most dangerous place on Earth for a child. Vulnerable children are being rounded up to become slaves or sent into the sex trafficing industry.

Hopefully I can get some good karma and run good.

This is going to be a pretty mamouth task.

Could anybody give me some tips on how to undertake this marathon poker session.

24h = 24 hours :shock: :?:

WEll I've got one word for you....

COFFEEEEEEEEEEEE :!: :!: :!:

I imagine you will already be doing this, but set a stop/loss number. Kids of Haiti are not helped by you losing your money to money grubbers b/c you played tired.

Best of Luck!

well a word of advice from me would be not to do it, ive been playing 1/2 live for a few weeks now with great success (200+ a day) and ive also decided to donate to the cause by giving 100% of my profits to the red cross except it will be my profits from every sunday this month. i always thought about doing 24 hour challenges in the distant future with 100% goin to a charity or somethin, but its hard to do that playing 16 tables for 24 hours str8

a tip would be for u to play every sunday of the month for 6hours and donating 75% of ure winnings to the cause, but if u feel that u must put in a 24hour session then might i suggest anywhere from 1-6 tables max but stabilized round 4, you and i are very skilled multi tablers so i dont need to tell u how easily tired we get after playing 12 tables of 6max or 16 tables of FR for an hour or 2

Okay I have played 10 hours.

-$181
-$96 EV

I am running pretty dam badly. I feel I am playing some of my best poker but I keep on getting the second best hand at the showdown. Only winning 42% of showdowns and my WTSD is 23%

Need an injection of good variance. TBH I would be happy to break even and give away all the rakeback.

]vvvv It.

vvvv, vvvv, vvvv. I give up.

-$400

15 hrs

I am seriously miserable now. Not only have I failed to make make any money. I have given up.

So much went wrong.

Really depressed right now.

Exhaustion compounds the negative. No sense in continuing losing session. Don't feel bad about it. Get some rest.
